Over the international break, several of Arsenal's most important players disappeared as well. Gabriel Magalhaes, a defender from Brazil, and Bukayo Saka, a winger from England, both left their national teams before a match.
Gabriel Martinelli, who scored Arsenal's only goal in their October victory over Man City, was already listed as being absent due to a foot injury. However, Arteta is optimistic that all three players will be able to recover in time to return to their regular starting positions; he stated on Friday that there was a "chance" for all three of them.
Jurrien Timber, the victim of the ACL, may be the only player missing from the team; however, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey are anticipated to be available following their friendly match against Queens Park Rangers during the international break. The Dutchman is expected to make another appearance before the season ends.
