The goal arrived after nine minutes and from an unlikely source. David Luiz struck for the first time in Arsenal colorings with a glancing header following Nicolas Pépé’s corner from the right and, at that stage, it appeared they were set to secure another big win 3 days after their 4-0 win over Liège in the Europa League.

Chambers setting up a combat for right-back position:

Hector Bellerin might be fit again but he will now not be confident of a starting place if Calum Chambers continues his form.

Nominally a centre-back, the versatile defender did his job on the right side of a back four as he stored Bournemouth's dangerous wingers underneath wraps and offered enough thrust going forward.
