Gorguts is Working on a New Record Set for Release Next Year

There’s still plenty of killer metal to get excited for before the end of 2025, but there’s no reason why we all can’t get hyped for something coming next year too. Case and point — we now know Gorguts are actively working in the studio on a new record that’ll be coming out next year.

According to a post on the band’s official Facebook page, they’ve been actively working in pre-production for the band’s follow up to their 2016 record Pleiades’ Dust.

The band wrote the following in their post:

“Hello dear Gorguthians, many of you have been asking about new material and updates from the band, so here’s the latest: the guys are currently at Colin Marston’s new studio in Pennsylvania, USA.

“They’ve just spent three days recording pre-production demos for four new songs intended for the upcoming album. There’s no official release date yet, but you can expect the album sometime around 2026. Stay tuned!”

We’re not sure if this new offering will be another single track effort like Pleiades’ Dust, but it’s pretty safe to assume it’s going to be something wild, nonetheless.
