Manchester United prepared to take £42m Rasmus Hojlund transfer hit as price tag named
Manchester United would sell Rasmus Hojlund this summer for £30million, talkSPORT understands.
But, as exclusively revealed on Saturday, Hojlund has told the Red Devils that he doesn’t want to leave.

Despite the Dane’s current stance, the price tag placed on him by Man United shows they are prepared to take a huge hit to sell.
Hojlund joined the club from Serie A side Atalanta in 2023 for a whopping fee of £72million.
However, he has struggled to stand up to that hefty fee during his time at Old Trafford so far.
And now, United appear to be open to letting him leave for less than half the amount they paid for him two years ago.
Across 95 games in all competitions, the striker has only scored 26 goals and provided four assists.
And last season, Hojlund only found the net four times in 32 Premier League appearances, with six more strikes coming in Europe.
He has got his pre-season off to a decent start, scoring in a 4-1 win over Bournemouth last week in the USA.
It was after that game that the Denmark international outlined his plans to remain at United for the new campaign.
Hojlund said: “My plan is very clear and that is for me to stay and fight for my spot.
“Competition is fine with me, it sharpens me. I’m more than ready.”

Benjamin Sesko latest
Man United have named their price tag for Hojlund amid a push to try and sign Benjamin Sesko.
They held talks with RB Leipzig on Saturday evening, but they are yet to place a formal bid for the striker.
And the Red Devils could end up missing out on Sesko, as Newcastle are prepared to improve their bid.
The Magpies are set to up their €75m+€5m offer to Leipzig with optimism that a fee and structure can be agreed.
It means United have a battle on their hands, but talkSPORT understands that Sesko favours a move to Old Trafford.
They are under pressure to balance the books due to PSR restrictions though, so the sale of Hojlund could be key.

‘Don’t know what’s going to happen’
Man United boss Ruben Amorim now has Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee and Matheus Cunha as striker options in his squad.
He clearly wants another added too, with Sesko and Aston Villa‘s Ollie Watkins among those linked to the club.
And he was unable to guarantee Hojlund will stay at United when speaking about his future.
Amorim said: “I’m really happy with Rasmus, but I don’t know what is going to happen until the end of the market.
“The important thing is that Rasmus is scoring goals. He’s connecting really well with the team. He’s improving.
“I don’t know what is going to happen until the market is closed. We suffered a lot because of the lack of goals last season.”
