Report: Arsenal working on payment structure to complete exciting £60m midfield signing

Arsenal are intensifying efforts to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with the player keen on making the switch and talks continuing between the two clubs.
As previously reported by Fresh Arsenal, discussions are positive and Palace have set a fixed valuation of around £60million for the 27-year-old. Eze, a standout performer in the Premier League last season, is seen as a versatile attacking option who would add creativity and dribbling power to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
A new development from Miguel Delaney of The Independent reveals that Arsenal are working on a payment structure that would allow them to complete a deal for Eze without requiring a major sale this summer. This opens the door for a quicker resolution, even as the club finalises a deal for striker Viktor Gyökeres.
Eze has two years left on his contract and whilst Palace are keen to secure the full release clause, they do recognise a potential need to be flexible to ensure they don’t have to sell for a cut-price next summer when they are in a more vulnerable position.
Eze’s willingness to join the Gunners and the club’s creative financial planning could be the key to unlocking one of their priority signings of the summer. While players like Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard remain potential departures, Arsenal may not be reliant on those exits to secure Eze’s signature.
As I recently wrote about, Eze could be the crowning jewel in Arsenal’s summer, adding the spark they very much have missed in recent seasons.
With talks continuing and a deal now more financially viable, Eze’s arrival could signal another statement of intent from Arteta’s side heading into the 2025/26 campaign.
