Sacred Reich Welcome Ex-Red Devil Vortex Drummer Eduardo Baldo Into the Band

Nearly two months after the departure of drummer Dave McClain, thrash metal outfit Sacred Reich is complete again with the newly announced addition of Eduardo Baldo behind the kit. He’d initially been chosen to fill in for the band’s European tour dates last month but has since been made a full-time member of the band.

The news came earlier today in a post on the band’s official Instagram, it was revealed that the ex-Red Devil Vortex drummer was celebrating his birthday today when the announcement was made.

“We are excited to move forward with Baldo behind the kit bringing his own style, enthusiasm and power. Welcome to SACRED REICH!

“As an added bonus, today is Baldo’s birthday! Let’s all wish him a very happy birthday!

“We are finishing up mixing our new album ‘Into The Abyss’ and making plans for July and August in Europe. Looking forward to forward to a killer 2026!”

As the band teased in their Instagram post, their new album Into The Abyss is in the works, with plan of going on an European tour already slated for next summer. No word about a North American run at the moment, but one can hold out some hope…
