Solomun Launches New Record Label, Love Recycled
Solomun has established a new record label, Love Recycled, marking a significant revival of his project reimagining classic tracks for contemporary audiences.
Originated in 2011, the DJ's "Love Recycled" series focused on updating beloved classics for modern dancefloors. Solomun at the time launched it by virtue of three house reworks of pop and R&B tracks, including one of Michael McDonald's 1982 hit "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)."
14 years later, the influential house music producer has now spun the concept into a full-fledged record label. He's planning to officially unveil it Friday, June 27th by virtue of its inaugural release, "Love Recycled 4," his reimagining of Change's 1980 disco track "Angel In My Pocket."
"Now that Love Recycled has grown into its own label, the vision expands beyond Solomun himself," according to the label. "A new wave of world-class artists will take part, continuing the mission of celebrating and reimagining the classics."
