Torche Reunites, First Back Show Announced

Nearly three years after calling it quits, stoner rock outfit Torche was unable to avoid the siren song and they’re reuniting once again… For one show, at least.

According to a post on the band’s official Instagram account, Torche will play a show with Cave In and Toru on September 10 at the Electric Ballroom in London. At this time, that’s all we know about this apparent reunion, with the band opting not to put out a statement about their return at all.

Other tidbits about the band’s apparent reunion that we don’t know is who’s actually in this iteration of the band. The last time we saw Torche, they were comprised of guitarist and vocalist Steve Brooks, guitarist Jon Nuñez, bassist Eric Hernandez, and drummer Rick Smith. Without an official statement from the band about the reunion, it might be easy to assume that the band will remain the same, but we all know what happens when you assume…

Either way, Torche is reuniting and for the time being, that’s enough reason to get excited.
