Watch: Venom Performed a Black Sabbath Medley to Pay Homage to Ozzy Osbourne

There are so many damn bands out there that simply wouldn’t exist had Black Sabbath not done their thing all those years ago. Case and point — Venom. In the past, frontman Conrad “Cronos” Lant told Metal Hammer that Sabbath was one of three bands (the others being Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple) that inspired him to pick up music to begin with.

Even more of his personal life was influenced by the music and themes of Black Sabbath and later on Ozzy’s solo career, but we’ll let you check out that Metal Hammer interview for more details.

All of that is to say that it makes complete sense that a band like Venom would then take the time to put together and learn a Black Sabbath medley to pay respects to Ozzy, who passed away last month at the age of 76.
