Fred again.. and Skepta Reunite for Gritty Collaboration, “Back 2 Back”

Earlier this summer, Fred again.. and Skepta’s “Victory Lap” debuted live on Twitch and was baptized in the chaos of a pop-up rave at the Brooklyn Paramount. The two are now back with a spiritual successor, “Back 2 Back,” which finds Fred once more diving deep into the grime trenches.

Crafting a menacing soundscape lined with shadowy synths and high-energy, chest-rattling percussion, the “adore you” producer trades emotional melodies for a high-impact arrangement. Meanwhile, the lyrical prizefighter Skepta delivers a blitz of razor-sharp bars with a sense of defiance and self-assurance.

“Back 2 Back” moves fast and with no excess, just focused energy and sharp intent. While their collaborative partnership was one few could have predicted going into 2025, Fred again.. and Skepta’s  latest track shows that the fusion of grime and electronic music bring out the best in both when the right artists are at the helm.
