Koe Wetzel Gushes About His Baby Girl On Stage: “The Most Beautiful Thing I’ve Ever Put My Eyes On”

Daddy Koe is back out on the road.

Koe Wetzel added a new title to his resume last week as he and his longtime girlfriend, Bailey Fisher, welcomed their first child into the world. Woods Madison Wetzel made her debut on May 23rd, leading Koe to have to miss the opening weekend of Hardy’s Jim Bob World Tour to be present for his daughter’s birth.

When the “Casamigos” singer abruptly announced that he would be absent from the shows, many fans began speculating that Woods’ birth was the family emergency he referenced. However, this was not confirmed until a few days after her arrival.

Ahead of his daughter’s birth, Koe told the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast that he and Hardy’s team had a plan in place so that he could be there for Bailey when she went into labor. Still, given the demanding Jim Bob World Tour schedule, he would have to get back out on the road shortly after her arrival.

While mom is at home living in her baby bubble, soaking up all the first moments a mother experiences with their firstborn, Koe is on stage gushing about how happy he is to be a father. Even though he told us he was “terrified” to become a father (which I think is a typical response):

“I’m terrified. I’m excited. There are so many emotions right now.”

He seems to be settling into this role as a father quite well, embracing the part of fatherhood where you figure out a way to talk about your kids at every moment. His moments include being in front of massive crowds of screaming fans. During a recent show, Koe was on stage about to play “Good Times” and used an extended introduction to talk about the song’s meaning of slowing down and changing your old habits, weaving in the fact that he’s a dad now.

“I’m older and wiser, I’m not drinking as much. I had a baby girl last week! She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever put my eyes on, and she’s an absolute blessing. I get just about as much sleep now as I was when I was getting f**ked up all the time, so it balances itself out a little bit.”

Ah, already working in some dad jokes. Dad mode is fully activated.
